Disappointment.  That word adequately describes my reaction to the news that Governor Sanford has chosen to remove himself from the national scene through his personal actions.

I do not stand in judgement of his choice, that is between himself and his family.  However, Governor Sanford is a solid fiscal conservative that can speak to the need for limited government.  His voice will now lack credibility on the national stage.
