Stolen Election

The foundation of our democracy includes the right of every citizen to vote. Casting your ballot during election day for your favored candidate, issue or ordinance is an act that should make every American proud. The sacrifices made by our military now and in previous generations in defense of that right are humbling.
The basic underpinnings of our democracy are under attack. The voter fraud issue in this country has always been there, however, the recent development of nationwide ‘voter registration organizations’ is producing the potential for widespread fraudulent activity, the likes of which we have never seen. John Fund has recently written a book titled, ‘ Stealing Elections, Revised and Updated: How Voter Fraud Threatens our Democracy‘, detailing the problem and outlining fixes that should be put in place immediately. Specifically, we should be cutting off the registration process 30 days prior to the election so that all registrations can be verified. The ability to register and vote on the same day provides no opportunity to validate the registration, and, once the vote is counted, no ability to pull that specific vote out of the ballot box ( If you notice, once you receive a ballot, it has no individual verification tying it to you, which it should not). John lays out much more specific instances on documented voter fraud and fixes in his excellent book.
This brings us to the subject of ACORN. This organization has been in the news a lot recently and will continue to be highlighted as they are directly involved in some of the most blatant cases of fraudulent voter registration. As Michelle Malkin is highlighting over at her blog, the cases of documented fraud are increasing in this election cycle in states all over this country.
Investors Business Daily has also run a series of articles pointing out the danger and extent of voter fraud. From their editorial yesterday:
“In Missouri, one ACORN registrant named Monica Rays showed up on no less than eight forms, all bearing the same signature.
Suspicious election officials sent letters to some 5,000 ACORN registrants in St. Louis, asking the letter recipients to contact them.
Fewer than 40 responded.
In Kansas City, 15,000 registrations have been questioned, and last year four ACORN employees were indicted for fraud.
In addition, ACORN officials have also been indicted in Wisconsin and Colorado. Investigations against others are active in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
ACORN has also been registering convicted felons — including inmates — in Florida and other battleground states. ACORN boasts registering a record 1.5 million new voters so far this election.”
In case you are ready to discount the impact of these numbers, please remember the election of 2000. Florida received a lot of attention due to the incompetence of three county supervisors, however, the ability for any state and/or county to hold up to that type of scrutiny is very low. And that speaks very poorly of our voting validation and tracking system.
With the database technology available today, we could easily convert our antiquated and highly inaccurate system of voting into a robust, secure and easily verifiable process. The political will to make it happen is all we are missing.
